As a community based, membership organization, the Lopez Community Land Trust seeks community participation in our programs. We offer a variety of options for those interested in getting involved. Here are the main avenues available to those who would like to participate.

LCLT Membership. The Lopez Community Land Trust is a membership organization founded on the principles of membership involvement. Members are the backbone of the organization. They elect the Board of Directors, vote on by-law changes, serve as board and/or committee members and review the Annual reports. Equally as important, members sustain the long term goals of the organization through contributions.

Make a Contribution. Private donations are crucial to the success of our programs and the day to day operation of our organization. The LCLT welcomes the financial support of members and others who understand the vital role community land trusts play in our community. To download our contribution form, click here.

Internships. Our internship program offers young people a chance to get deeply involved with the LCLT. The SARD Internship Program allows young adults and college students the opportunity to get involved in the work of the LCLT and learn valuable agricultural skills

The Housing Internship Program, which runs when the LCLT develops a new housing project, is a unique opportunity for individuals to gain comprehensive, hands-on experience in home construction.

We especially encourage women and people interested in architecture, the building trades, or community land trusts to participate as interns.

Please review this site for updates to our current Internship offerings. We currently do not have any internship housing projects underway.
